Take care and have a good christmas

Saturday 15 November 2008
Where to begin......Well Jamie has been really ill for most of this year. It started started in Oct last year which we thought were just stomach bugs but in July this year we learnt that Jamie has Chrohns which is intestine problems. Jamie lost nearly 2 stone in weight has had no energy and generally was not well he stopped going out was constantly off school ill at least one day a week which was not good but he still managed to get good grades at school and keep up with his school work which is all down to Jamie getting stuck in and trying to get on with things but all sleep overs were stopped as he couldnt cope with them. He was so ill at one time that i had to miss my dads 65th birthday as jamie couldnt travel but we managed to go up in Aug which was really good. When he was in hos they took pics of his intestines and they looked really red and swollen with lots of blisters no wonder he couldnt eat. He was put on a liquid only diet for 8 weeks which had all his vitamins and nutruients in it. We had to make it up every night. It helped though as it gave his body a rest and put all the reight things back into his body the result is he has got better and he has started putting weight on and started growing again. He was also put on an energy product as his energy levels were not where they should have been. He is at the moment dairy intolerant but we will try again after christmas to see if he can take it again but as things stand at the moment i dont think he will be able to. He is still on his powdered drink called modulen and his energy powder which he will be on for a long time to come if not forever. We go to the hos every 3 months to have him checked over. He is having problems with pains in his bones expecially his spine which is worrying but the doc says if he is still experiencing the same at the xmas appointment then he will arrange a bone scan. He has also been put on calcium tablets as he is not getting enough now as he cant take dairy problems although he does get some in his rice milk but not nearly enough. One person that has been very supportive through all this is Steve ,Jamie and i could not have gotten through all this without him. My friends have also been an absolute rock too and have been there for us all. Thank you to Alison, Laura, Steph and Maria. Jamie is getting better and hopefully we will be able to control this Chrohns through diet.
We had a fireworks party last wednesday night and Steve did a blinder with the fireworks we had 45 people in our house last week it was amazing and even some of my childminding families came which was really good especially my babies that came and we all had a great time.
We are now just working going to school and looking forward to christmas and to having some time off just to relax and have fun. I will post some photos on but thought i better put something in for the time being.
Not a lot happened apart from that.
Take care

Catch up
Jamie doing what he likes doing climbing trees.
This is Bessie being lazy and lying at my feet on the sofa. She is such a good dog we have been really lucky with her temperment and she loves the kids.
This is Amelia one of the kids that i look after. We took her to Alton Towers she was so excited it was lovely to see it through her eyes. This is her on the tractor ride.
Heres Jamie with his hair cuthe looks so much better wit it short thank goodness he has finished with growing his hair (well for a while anyway :) ).
And again this was taken in Alton Towers at the learning to drive area for younger kids. Amelia wanted to go on so we had to wait but queue wasnt that long.
This is Amelia driving her car they had traffic lights and bridges and tunnels just like for real and i bought her her very first driving licence with her photo on it .
Jamie at Calke Abbey the one and only photo i took but you can see how long his hair is here.
This is Jamie on the new ride at Alton Towers called Buccaneer Island and you get realy really wet as you soak the people on the boats with water cannons and the people on the boats try and soak you the result is you all get wet but i laughed so much at all the men who just had to try and soak peoples and how wet they got they were just like kids.

Half Term
Jamies leg is healing well he got his stitches out last week. We even managed to get to Alton Towers on sat which was good and we bought our yearly pass which was really good value at £66 each and we can go anytime we like until next may. Jamie is still recovering from glandular fever and we had to take some rests in between rides as his legs were sore and tired. God this is like Deja Vue. He still has problems with his tummy which has been ongoing since last Oct. Think its time for blood tests etc as he is getting worse, everytime he eats it hurts and even when he doesnt it hurts.
Going to a christening next sun and then its my dads 65th birthday which will be good although i always hate the long drive up and back again. Apart from that not much has ben happening.
My niece is 8 this sat too so Happy Birthday Amber, lots of birthdays and christenings over the next two months so gives me an excuse to go shopping as if i need that lol. I have some photos of jamie that i will put on later as i havent transferred them yet and surprise surprise jamie has had his hair cut. Think it might be girlfriends next as he keeps preening himself infront of the mirror and he has stretched and looking very skinny now, not sure im ready for that yet lol.
Anyway take care will be back soon

A post at last
As you know Jamie has not been well now since Christmas. He has taken one bug after another and then he got Glandular fever. He is recovering now but it will take a long time until he has fully recovered. His shoulders and back ache the most and he tires easily. He also has had problems with his stomach and bowels but he is now on medication for that so hopefully he will be feeling better soon. He is now back at school full time, he is struggling a bit but at least he is back. Will keep you all updated on how he is.
It is now Bank hol weekend again. We went to Calke Abbey yesterday as it was a lovely day and we had a really good time. Jamie and i loved going into the house to see how it was a long time ago. I will add the one and only pic i took of jamie later.
Apart from that we have not done much. The decking is getting done this weekend so cant really go too far afield. Hoping to take jamie to alton towers at the end of the month when he is able to cope with it better and we can get our season tickets then.
Anyway heres some photos for now and i will keep the blog updated more regulary.
This is Jamie in his favourite place playing on his X Box.
Bessie finding a safe place whilst i was hoovering.
Take care for now
